Unlike<br \/>\nreal ISM hardware, which enforces memory region bounds natively, the<br \/>\nsoftware loopback has no such protection.<\/p>\n<p>A peer-supplied out-of-bounds offset or oversized write would result in<br \/>\nan OOB write past the allocated kernel buffer.
