{"id":41122,"date":"2026-10-19T00:32:14","date_gmt":"2026-10-18T16:32:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.54iter.cn\/?vuln=cve-2026-98650"},"modified":"2026-10-19T00:32:14","modified_gmt":"2026-10-18T16:32:14","slug":"cve-2026-98650","status":"publish","type":"vuln","link":"https:\/\/www.54iter.cn\/?vuln=cve-2026-98650","title":{"rendered":"CVE-2026-98650 &#8211; In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:\n\nKVM: s390: Fix potent"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:<\/p>\n<p>KVM: s390: Fix potential races in dat skey functions<\/p>\n<p>When dat_cond_set_storage_key() finds a large page, it will<br \/>\nconditionally set the storage key in absolute memory using<br \/>\nlarge_crste_to_phys() to get the absolute address.<\/p>\n<p>There is a race window between dat_entry_walk() and<br \/>\nlarge_crste_to_phys(): the large page could have been split<br \/>\nconcurrently, and large_crste_to_phys() might be called with a crste<br \/>\nthat does not designate a large page, leading to crashes.<\/p>\n<p>Similar issues were also present in dat_set_storage_key().<\/p>\n<p>dat_get_storage_key() and dat_reset_reference_bit() did instead check<br \/>\nfor a potential concurrent splitting of the large page, but then<br \/>\nhandled it incorrectly.<\/p>\n<p>Fix by performing a READ_ONCE on the crste pointer, checking and using<br \/>\nthe result, instead of dereferencing the pointer again.
